“There are a number of challenges and barriers Black entrepreneurs go through. Running since 2017 and being the leading organisation for Black entrepreneurs in the UK, we are all too familiar with many of the issues that are hindering progress for them. Partnering with HSBC UK will allow us to collaborate and ensure that Black entrepreneurs are not neglected and are treated the same as every other race. HSBC are committed to making a difference and we are pleased to be working with organisations who are putting Diversity at the forefront of the company objectives”
Raphael Sofoluke CEO & Founder of UK Black Business Show Limited
“We are committed to ensuring that access to finance is fair and open, irrespective of race. It’s estimated that minority businesses contributed at least 74bn to the UK economy in 2019/20 and data from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor found that Black people were three times more likely to start a business than white people between 2002 and 2018*. That entrepreneurial spirit is why we’re delighted to be part of the UK Black Business Show and we’re looking forward to opening up new growth opportunities for businesses with exciting ambitions.”
