The Culinary Experience team is responsible for overall diner experience in culinary spaces. Key focus areas of the role include, developing and promoting the hospitality program, maintaining front of house standards and smallware, and partnering with cross functional internal teams and vendor teams to present a successful and hospitable experience.This is a full time role based in London.
Culinary Experience Manager (Contract) Responsibilities:
- Optimize overall diner experience
- Manage the hospitality program for culinary spaces across the region
- Works closely with vendor management to ensure standards and service expectations are followed across multiple locations
- Create and uphold standards and SOPs for front of house areas
- Conduct routine visits to cafes and concepts within region to ensure standards are followed (may include travel)
- Ensure global alignment on the look & feel of cafes and concepts through smallware, SOPs etc.
- Engage with internal community to enhance user experience
- Partner with relevant stakeholders on planning stages of all new cafe openings including design, look & feel, branding, smallware, wayfinding etc.
- Effectively communicates with project managers and Chefs to ensure operational efficiency for existing spaces and new openings
- Actively involved in new cafe openings to ensure all guidelines, SOPS etc. are in place and followed
- Work with Project Manager and Ops Team to ensure cafe servery equipment is installed, functioning and training has been scheduled
- Responsible for front of house smallware selection and budgeting with a strong focus on sustainability
- Work with purchasing team on pricing and sourcing for FOH items
- Ensure vendor team are capturing required data for operational efficiency
- Harvest and ensure a safety-first mentality with contracting company, following local legislation and permits
- Review data from audits, trackers etc. and act appropriately
- Actively collaborate with wider culinary team to ensure culinary standards and expectations are met and exceeded
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or Hospitality Management Degree
- 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced food & beverage service operation or corporate dining environment
- Proven experience managing and growing a hospitality program in a food service environment
- Experience implementing and maintaining operating systems tool
- Proven computer skills including Microsoft office programs
- Budget management experience with large/complex budgets
- Active ServSafe Managers Certification, as required by the California Health Department
- Knowledge of local allergenic guidelines, HACCP and best practices
- Experience in utilizing data to drive decisions
